The short version

Briskhaven Labs is an innovation studio — we build apps and services with real care and to the highest standards we can apply. But the nature of a lab is that we're always pushing into new territory, and the infrastructure our software runs on ultimately belongs to companies like AWS, Google, Apple, and others. We can't warranty perfection. What we can promise is that we take our work seriously and will always do right by the people who use it.

By using any Briskhaven Labs application, website, or service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use our software — and feel free to reach out if you have questions before you decide.

Section 01

What Briskhaven Labs Is

Briskhaven Labs is the innovation and incubation arm of Briskhaven Holdings LLC. Our purpose is to conceive, develop, and launch new applications — exploring emerging technologies and turning good ideas into real software that people can actually use.

That mission means we sometimes work at the edge of what's proven. Some of our applications are fully mature, production-ready products. Others are earlier in their lifecycle — actively developed, growing, and improving based on real-world use. We make every effort to clearly communicate where each application stands, and we never hide the fact that Briskhaven Labs is an incubator by nature.

This context matters when you read these terms. Our commitment to quality is genuine and backed by the full standards of Briskhaven Holdings. At the same time, we believe you deserve honesty about what any software development organization — especially one built around innovation — can and cannot guarantee.

🏛

Part of Briskhaven Holdings

All Briskhaven Labs software is owned, operated, and maintained by Briskhaven Holdings LLC. The standards, practices, and accountability that apply across the Briskhaven family of companies apply here too. We are not a fly-by-night operation — we are a structured, professionally managed organization that happens to thrive on building new things.

Section 02

Using Our Software

You may use Briskhaven Labs applications and services for lawful purposes only. You agree not to use our software to violate any applicable law, infringe on the rights of others, attempt to circumvent security controls or gain unauthorized access to any system, transmit malicious code or content, or use our services in any way that could damage, disable, or impair them.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your own account credentials. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@briskhavenlabs.com.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any account that violates these terms or that we reasonably believe poses a risk to our systems or other users.

Section 03

Security Standards

We take security seriously — not as a marketing claim, but as an operational reality. Briskhaven Labs applies the same security frameworks and practices adopted across Briskhaven Holdings, including alignment with industry standards relevant to our services. This encompasses controls drawn from frameworks used in federal, government cloud, and enterprise environments, as well as applicable mil-spec and commercial security standards.

In practice, this means we design our systems with security at the architecture level rather than bolting it on later. We apply encryption in transit and at rest, enforce access controls and least-privilege principles, conduct regular reviews of our security posture, and hold ourselves to the same bar we would expect from any vendor we trust with our own data.

We invest in doing this right. Our relationship with Briskhaven Holdings gives us access to the institutional knowledge, tooling, and standards infrastructure of a mature organization — and we put that to use in every product we build.

🛡

Standards we align with

Our security practices are informed by FedRAMP guidelines, GovCloud requirements, and applicable commercial and government security standards. This doesn't mean every Briskhaven Labs product is a certified government system — it means we use those frameworks as the baseline for how we think about and implement security across everything we build.

Section 04

Third-Party Infrastructure & Service Dependencies

Every application Briskhaven Labs ships runs on infrastructure we do not own. Our software depends on cloud hosting platforms, database services, content delivery networks, application stores, and other third-party systems that form the foundation of modern software. This includes providers like Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, MongoDB Atlas, Apple's App Store, Google Play, and others.

These platforms are operated by independent organizations. We select them carefully, configure them to our security standards, and monitor them closely — but we do not control them. When a cloud provider experiences an outage, a database platform enters a maintenance window, or an app store has a deployment issue, those events are outside our control. We cannot prevent them, and we cannot guarantee your experience is unaffected when they occur.

What we commit to is this: we will architect our systems with resilience in mind, respond to third-party incidents as quickly and effectively as possible, communicate transparently when something is affecting our services, and work to minimize single points of failure wherever we can.

When the cloud has a bad day

If AWS has an outage or Google Play has a distribution issue, our apps may be affected. This is true for every software company in the world — we're no different. We will always do everything in our power to keep our services running and to recover quickly when something beyond our control causes a disruption.

Additionally, these third-party services have their own terms of service, privacy policies, and security practices. By using our applications, you may also be subject to the terms of the underlying platforms they run on. We encourage you to review the policies of major platforms like Apple, Google, and Amazon where relevant.

Section 05

No Warranty

All Briskhaven Labs applications and services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. This includes — but is not limited to — implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that our software will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from bugs, vulnerabilities, or unexpected behavior. We do not warrant that any particular feature will remain available, that data will never be lost, or that the software will meet every specific use case you may have in mind.

We say this not to disclaim responsibility for the quality of our work — we hold ourselves to a high standard and care deeply about building things that work well. We say it because it is the honest truth about software. No software company in the world can make these guarantees, and we won't pretend otherwise.

📋

What this means in plain language

We build with care, test thoroughly, and take quality seriously. But software is complex, and things occasionally go wrong. If something breaks, we want to know about it and we'll work to fix it. This disclaimer protects us legally from claims that our free or low-cost tools failed to deliver enterprise-grade guarantees — it doesn't reflect our attitude toward the people who use our products.

Section 06

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Briskhaven Labs LLC and Briskhaven Holdings LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — our applications or services. This includes damages for loss of data, loss of profits, loss of goodwill, business interruption, or any other commercial or personal losses, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of our services shall not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In those jurisdictions, our liability will be limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Section 07

Changes to Apps & These Terms

We are always building. Briskhaven Labs applications are actively developed, which means features are added, updated, or occasionally retired. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant changes to our users, but we reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our services at any time.

We may update these Terms of Service as our practices evolve, as we add new products, or as legal requirements change. When we do, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of our applications after a change to these terms constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

If a change is material, we'll do our best to notify you — through the app, by email, or both — before it takes effect.

Section 08
